Fathom Lever Drag reels use Penn’s Dura-Drag material, which contains a special Phenolic bonding agent that prevents premature breakdown of the carbon fiber material while providing a barrier to water. Each drag washer is pretreated with a special compound developed by PENN engineers to ensure smooth drag performance.
