Montana Fly Company Galloup’s Boogieman (3-Pack)
Kelly Galloup’s big articulated sculpin is a magnet for predatory brown trout that aren’t necessarily satisfied eating nymphs to fill their stomach. Developed on the Madison river here in southwest MT, I have personally seen some of the biggest trout in the river brought to hand by the Boogieman. It has a marabou tail, turns of schlappen, a mallard flank back, and lead eyes for weight. The wool head and wing hold water to keep it in the rocks on the bottom, where those big trout are used to seeing sculpin.
