Inpaichthys kerri (sometimes called the royal tetra) resembles the true Emperor Tetras of the genusNematocrycon. Unlike true emperors, these tetras do possess a fatty adipose fin behind the dorsal fin. These fish in particular of the Gold strain, selectively bred for maximum gold colour. Gold emperor tetras are usually quite peaceful and fit well into most community aquaria.
These are young adults just over 2inch long.
